I was really hoping the Prince Estate and WB would do something extra special with the movie. Maybe some really cool packaging, poster, replica tickets, deleted scenes (if any are salvageable) etc etc. I think there was a great opportunity to do some cool stuff with the 40 anniversary, but it’s too late now.

I remember seeing this in the cinema and being very disappointed..robocop was an instant classic but robocop 2 is very poor.

I had this movie on Laser Disc. Trivia, the only disc to run longer than 60 minutes, from memory they crammed an extra few seconds onto the disc

I thought that Robocop 2 was silly sequel Ken but I like Robo Caine that alone is worth the purchase on 4k

Orion really screwed this film by rushing Miller and Kershner and not allowing them to even complete the script for the final act. And they rejected Miller's original grittier script. It's a shame to think what could have been had all these talented people been allowed to make the film they wanted. That all said, you did kind of sell me on getting this, or would have had Shout not been asking so much for it. $25 is my limit for Robocop 2. 😂

Thank you Mid Level! This movie was no where near as good as the OG! There were a few “mid” action scenes, but it is NOT a good movie at all. I was bored out of my mind!

If Robocop 2 had stuck with the beginning of the films story about Murphy trying to still deal with the fact he cannot have his family and the focus of the film was that it could have been great. BUT, they literally drop that storyline 20 minutes in when Murphy's wife comes to visit and he scares her off. An entirely different film begins from that moment on and it ruins it. Robocop 2014 actually did that storyline and it was much better than in Robocop 2. Bottom line Frank Miller's script was terrible, the kid ruined the film, Robocop 2 himself is a terrible villain, and honestly I do not blame Peter Weller for walking away from the franchise. Worse of all the brilliance of the ending of the first film was completely loss in the sequel.

You just answered why 3 doesn’t need to be on 4K. It falls off a cliff in quality compared to 2.

I Found a Terrifier VHS at My Local Walmart This Morning was Totally Shocked

I dunno imo those last slew of slipcovers were generic as hell looking, a lot of them looked like cheap reproductions of the real thing, like the lethal weapon with a stick of dynamite. I own the sideload box set of those with the stick of dynamite and it looks 100% better then that, same with the Dirty Harry set, the og slipbox is so much better. I do agree the Twister one was kind of cool, being that never got a slip as well. I`ve heard of the new vhs being sold at walmart and its cool I guess, but vhs format sucked lets be real here. I grrew up in the vhs era and for its time it was great, but I would never and could never go back to vhs, they look like sh*t. For collective purposes and if you really dug the movie I can see tracking down a vhs copy, but thats it. Far as watching it is another story, not to mention in 10 years or so they will be deteriorated and not play properly

A nightmare on Elm Street wins for me for that year closely followed by the Terminator. I remember seeing ghostbusters that year and it terrified me at the time. It was a PG here in the Uk. 😂

Al tbis lets you really know is that 1976-1983 were years of great creative energy.i think the cold war,jfk, Watergate and that little trip to the moon got a lot of creative juices flowing and brought out a lot of "put your money where your mouth is" and. ""proove it!" And "put up or shut up " energy was out there.

Ken, you appreciate the finer things in packaging and I just received both South Park & Team America from the US and the foil slips are so much nicer than the boring bland UK ones, plus a nice thin jewel case as UK's are thicker for the security tag -- foil slip & thin case, f**k yeah! 😆

For me, when I buy a 4k, I'm not buying it for special features. And if there _are_ any, barring a commentary, I would want them on a second disc, so that every possible ounce of bit rate on the disc is going to the movie. So if the release is 4K only, I'm 100% okay with as few extras as possible. For me, in this case, there being only a few features isn't a huge problem, it's a bonus. That's just me.

Do you really need more movies Plus are you going to run out of shelf space soon if you keep buying movies
